Why We Built This Site
Pennsylvania gives the public access to many court records, but Lawrence County uses several custodians rather than one all-purpose clerk. The Prothonotary handles civil Common Pleas files such as civil suits, divorce, custody, judgments, liens, and protection-from-abuse filings. The Clerk of Courts handles criminal Common Pleas case records. The Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans' Court handles estates, wills, guardianships, marriage licenses, and Orphans' Court records. Magisterial District Judges handle traffic, summary, small civil, landlord-tenant, bail, and preliminary criminal dockets.

- We cannot give legal advice or explain how Pennsylvania law applies to a specific case
- We cannot guarantee that every office procedure, fee, address, or phone number is current at the moment you read it
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. This site can identify likely custodians, but the document must come from them.
